Our PreK -2nd grade Cheetahs enjoyed a fun and interactive author visit with Ross Burach! His silly stories entertained us and his drawing activity brought out the creative side of us all! Thank you COE PTA for helping to support this event!

Happy National School Counselor Week to Mrs. Williams! She supports our Cheetahs social, emotional, and academic growth each day with care, compassion, and dedication. We are so grateful to the positive impact she has on our school community and are so forutnate to have her as part of our school! Thank you Mrs. Williams for all that you do!

Today was all about connection! Thank you to the wonderful COE families who volunteered their time to teach our Cheetahs about cultures from every corner of the world. Seeing our community come together to share their heritage is what makes being a Cheetah so special!

The beat continued today at our COE International Festival! We were thrilled to host Noah Mosgofian with Drum One Drum All for an incredible, high-energy session.
Our Cheetahs didn’t just listen—they became part of the music! Beyond creating their own rhythms, students went on a global journey learning about the history and origins of drums from Africa and beyond. It was loud, it was educational, and it was a total blast!

We kicked off of COE International Festival yesterday with our language parade. 48 Languages and 50 countries were represented by our amazing COE Cheetahs! We are so proud of our students for sharing their heritage!

Congratulations to our COE Spelling Bee winners, Atharva, Tanshi, and Myrah! We also want to celebrate everyone who participated and gave it their all today. You all made COE proud!

A huge thank you to Elizabeth Kahura for visiting our campus this week! She captivated our PreK-1st Grade classes with her interactive African Storytelling session. Our students were completely engaged as they learned about African wildlife, picked up new Swahili words and phrases, learned and played instruments from Africa, and enjoyed a funny animal story. We love providing these immersive cultural experiences for our Cheetahs!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Cheetahs really hit their stride! To celebrate finishing their iReady Challenge, our hardworking students were treated to an epic, hilarious inflatable race!

A HUGE thank you to author John Shu for visiting Chandler Oaks Elementary this week! Mr. Schu not only shared about his published books, but highlighted the books of so many other authors. Mr. Schu has a unique gift in connecting the right book with the right reader. It was such a great opportunity for our cheetahs to experience. This is a visit that everyone will be talking about for a long time!

Huge thanks to the Round Rock Fire Department for visiting COE today! Our Cheetahs learned all about fire and general safety through a really engaging presentation. What a wonderful day of learning!

Our COE Cheetahs ROCKED our canned food drive! Our students collected an astonishing 2,446 cans to donate to the Round Rock Serving Center! Ms. Pleasanton’s 1st grade class and Ms. Kelly’s 3rd Grade class were the winners for the Turkify Your Teacher Challenge! Way to go COE Cheetahs!

Our COE 5th grade students shared their Exhibition projects with the learning community this week. Students have been working hard since the beginning of the year inquiring and taking action in our community. What a wonderful way to celebrate their learning journey as an IB learner! We are very proud of our cheetahs!

Our COE PK-2 Cheetahs had an author visit from Cherry Mo, author and illustrator of Home in a Lunchbox. Our students were completely engaged as she shared her book and taught us all about the author's purpose and the process of illustration.

Our COE 1st Graders created The Cardboard Box Arcade to share with our school community! In their IB Unit of Inquiry of How the World Works, they've been exploring how curiosity drives investigation into our world! Their investigation, curiosity, and collaboration allowed them to problem solve and design games for others to play. Parents and students had so much fun playing everyone's games! Way to go, 1st grade Cheetahs!

Our PK-2 Cheetahs had an author’s visit from Kari Lavelle today. Students learned more about her books through an engaging presentation about animals.

Yesterday our Cheetahs had an amazing opportunity to learn more about being kind and ways to prevent bullying. “Hey Dude, Nice Shoes” with Carolyn Brown was an engaging experience that offered the students the opportunity to think more deeply about being kind to others around them.
